Fabulous Finds Starting at $7!

Jan 26, 2014

Living in the Northeast, these past weeks have been all about snow, and lots of it! So..since the weather hasn't been travel friendly, I've had a lot of time to sit down and peruse the internet. Way too much time, trust me! In doing this, I found all kinds of clothing, accessories and home items that I fell head over heels in love with. That's the point of Pinterest isn't it?

So today's post is a compilation of some of those fab finds! Most of the items are affordable, but some are definitely worth saving your money for. I know, I know...I don't usually put up items that are a little more expensive on here, but I thought I'd give it a try since in real life we all have different budgets. Regardless, it's a fun and kitschy kind of post. So I think you guys will like it!

5) Indigo $8 // 6) Forever21 $7.80 (Navy Sold Out) // 7) Topshop $20 // 8) Accessorize $43 // 9) Lush $6.65

On a quick side note, I've decided to create new posts every Saturday. Took a while to figure out with classes and whatnot what day was best for me. So keep that in mind!

Have a great week guys! Thanks SO much to my new followers! You're the best!

Make A Statement // Necklaces That Will Wow!

Jan 19, 2014

Hey guys! Hope you like the new look! I'm trying to get my blog to look a little more put together.

Someone told me this week that they gave up on fashion because it was "painful". Not true! Yes, fashion to some people includes painful heels and pants so tight you want to faint. But to me fashion is all about personal style. Wearing what you want while being comfortable is super sexy! We've all seen the woman trying to walk around in 'way too high' heels and falling all over the place. Is that truly fashionable? I'd rather see her confidently working a pair of flats!!

A great comfortable and fashionable item anyone can wear is a statement necklace. Which is why today's post features them! Have you seen some of them lately? I am loving them! The bold colors, chunky gemstones and sparkle! Can it get any better? Of course! The prices can! (Plus, you can never have enough sparkle!)

I remember attempting to buy these years ago and feeling my eyes bug out at the prices in the stores. Getting a decent looking statement necklace was really hard!! The best ones I could find would be at JCrew or Nordstrom. So I'd have to wait for sale. But thanks to sites like Bauble Bar we can buy them NOW and still pay the rent! Check out some of my favorites and see for yourself!

Oh and before I go, thank you soooo much to all of my new followers on BlogLovin and Twitter! It means a lot to me!& Remember! Be yourself, and you'll always be in style :)

Wrapping Up Winter: Colorfully!

Jan 10, 2014

Today is about all about graphic prints...on scarves that is! They're my current fashion crush...all the bold colors and unique prints seem really ahead of trend. They also remind me a bit of Kate Spade? Plus, scarves are a great affordable way to update your wardrobe...especially when you need to save up for next semesters textbooks. Bleh.

1) J.Crew, $59.50 ( + 40% Off Online w/ TAKENOTE ) // 2) Forever 21, $9.80
[Center Image] -Free People, $58

I actually got a graphic scarf from UO as a Christmas present and I love it to death. On my lazy days I wear an oversized cardigan, leggings and some flats and that scarf makes everything come together. Honestly guys, this is one of the best comfy outfits I can recommend to you. Try it out sometime! I swear you don't look like you actually took 2 minutes to get dressed.

I'm curious now..what are some of your favorite cozy outfits?? Let's share!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

*NOTE* ( By the way I'm pretty mad that the J.Crew scarf just sold out. What?! They might restock online, but you might want to check out your local store. If not, J.Crew has this scarf too for just a few bucks more! Same discount applies for a limited time. )

Easy Ways To Relax

Jan 4, 2014

Most of our New Years' Resolutions are based on our body...losing weight, eating less sugar, etc. But who wants to deal with the usual? I certainly don't! The best resolution to keep right now is to treat yourself well. As in, sit down and relax! The holidays can make some of us crazy so it's time to rewind and mentally replenish.

I made a list this week to help you guys out. These are some of my favorite ways to relax when I get super-stressed. No matter what, one of these steps always helps to calm me down. The secret really is to make time for yourself. Something that's really hard to do when you're running all over the place.

1) Change to PJ Pants - We women do a lot for fashion. Including wear really uncomfortable stuff! So as soon as you get home reach for your PJ pants. It's oddly fulfilling when you do this.
2) Drink Something Soothing - We all have different tastes when it comes to this. So whether coffee, tea, or hot cocoa soothes your soul...it's a good route to go when you're stressed.
3) Give Yourself A Manicure - Some people get really frustrated with this...and if you're one of them skip this idea! I personally  find painting my nails to be really stress relieving...so it's on here.
4) Light A Scented Candle - Candles are great for keeping you relaxed. Especially if you buy an aromatherapy candle!
5) Eat Your Comfort Food - We all have one. For me it's Waffles. Make yourself some of your favorite comfort food or order it to go!
6Go On A Walk - I've read multiple times that walking outside can really calm you down. It's true!
7) Watch The Snow Fall - Sitting by the window watching snow fall is strangely calming. So if it snows by you...try it some time!
8) Dim The LightsDoing this can easily change the mood of a room and instantly relax you.
9) DoodleA great outlet when you're stressed! Just make sure it's not at work...
10) Take A Bubble Bath - The warmth of the bath and bubbles can smooth over even the worst of days.
11) Put On Fuzzy Socks - Relax your feet with a pair of soft fuzzy socks at the end of the day. Especially if you've been in heels!
12) Dance - Whether in public or alone, dancing can help you exert stress.
13) Watch Your Favorite Movie - If it's your favorite it's definitely going to make you happy! So cuddle up with a blanket and get watching! Spending time for yourself is the key to being calm.
14) Go Shopping - Rewarding yourself with something small can instantly make you feel a lot better. Just don't overdo it!
15) Sing - This is another activity that easily exerts stress. And you can do it anywhere...even in your car!
16) Write  Whether it's a story or just a little blurb in your journal...writing about your problems is a great way to get out your stress.
17) Try Yoga - At the end of a yoga session you usually want to zonk on the mat. There's a reason for that! You relax both your mind and body.
18) Sit In A Quiet RoomSometimes all you need to relax is to  hear absolutely nothing...and just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet around you.
19) Listen To Music - Slower music, especially those without vocals help to relax your mind, and through this your body.
20) Lay On The Beach - If you live near a beach then I'm super jealous...you should definitely take advantage of it! Listening to the ocean waves is extremely calming...and no matter what time of the day you'll always hear it.
